Psychology Therapy
Psychology for children, teens and adults, with a thoughtful approach that starts with understanding the person, not just the problem. Our psychologists work from neuroaffirming and trauma-informed frameworks, with appointments available in Essendon and via telehealth across Australia.
At Better Together Therapy, we support individuals and families navigating anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges and mental health concerns across the lifespan. We provide compassionate, collaborative and evidence-based support that considers the whole person, including their relationships, experiences, strengths and environment.

Neuroaffirming and trauma-informed
Emotional wellbeing is shaped by our relationships, identities, environments and lived experiences. Our psychologists work from a neuroaffirming and trauma-informed framework, combining compassion and collaboration with practical, evidence-based support. We aim to create a space where people feel understood rather than judged, and supported rather than fixed.
Approaches we use
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Evidence-based therapy that helps identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. Commonly used to support anxiety, depression, OCD and related concerns.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Values-based therapy that supports psychological flexibility, mindfulness and taking meaningful action, even in the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions.
Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
An evidence-based therapy used to support trauma, anxiety and other distressing experiences. EMDR helps people process difficult memories and move towards meaningful healing and change. Available with our EMDR-trained psychologists.
Schema Therapy
Integrative therapy that explores long-standing emotional patterns, relationship difficulties and coping styles that may have developed over time.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Skills-based therapy that supports emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness.
Play-based and parent-collaborative approaches
For younger children, sessions may incorporate play, creative activities and parent collaboration to support emotional wellbeing and development.
Funding and access
We see clients funded through Medicare (Mental Health Care Plans), NDIS (self or plan managed), WorkSafe Victoria, TAC, Eating Disorder Management Plans and private health extras.
